September 2026
A new look and a government-standard heat-loss model
- Relaunched the whole site with a new look, built to feel as trustworthy as a bank.
- Heat-loss estimates now follow the government's own Home Energy Model.
- Launched a grants directory covering all 361 UK councils and 8 national schemes.
- Turned the survey into a guided conversation. Survey starts more than tripled, from 6 in August to 20 in September.
- Added an interactive 3D house that shows homeowners exactly where their home loses heat.
- Rebuilt the free EPC checker on the new design and put it on the home page.
- The grants panel now lists only the schemes a home qualifies for, with the rest a click away alongside the reason they didn't match.
- Flats that don't own their roof no longer get a rooftop solar estimate. Top-floor flats still do, with a note about getting the freeholder's consent.
- Homes with an EPC on the government register are now rated against it. Photos can only move the grade away from the registered one when they show something has changed.
- Went live with real card payments.
- Added visitor analytics with cookie consent, and an internal dashboard showing how many people reach each step, from sign-up to payment.
- Published a methodology board that explains how every figure in the report is calculated.
August 2026
A grants-first route and a new front page
- Opened a grants-only route for people who just want to know what they qualify for. 5 of the 20 surveys that recorded a route so far chose it.
- Redesigned the home page and grants page.
- Reports now include estimated annual running costs.
- Cavity-wall advice is only given when the photos show clear evidence.
- Started measuring advertising and sign-up conversions.
- Set up a board paper to track plans and progress.
June – July 2026
Accuracy, checked by a qualified assessor
- Reviewed our results with a qualified energy assessor and ran 62 analyses in July to close the gaps they found.
- The report no longer recommends an upgrade unless the photos support it.
- Moved to the government's new EPC register, so certificate lookups keep working.
- Added 360° room scans for assessing interiors.
April – May 2026
Live service and a portal for assessors
- Launched the live service, plus a separate portal for professional energy assessors.
- Built a benchmark of 85 properties checked by assessors, used to measure and improve accuracy.
- Upgraded the AI behind every analysis.
- Added rooftop solar estimates.
- Added promo codes.
- Published a sustainability page showing the carbon cost of each analysis.

Your Wins and the EPC calculator
- Launched Your Wins: quick wins, areas to improve and the grants that pay for them.
- Added an EPC calculator that shows the grade rising as improvements are chosen.
- Homeowners can describe their home by voice, and receive their report by email.
- Published 5 guides on the blog.
- Started tracking site speed for real visitors.

- Simplified the product to 3 steps: Start, Your Wins and Energy Report.
- The survey fills in what it can from the postcode.
